People without direction are lost...or so we may think. According to the great Dr Diedericks (2011) people are very much aware of their actions. They might not always mean things the way they are interpreted by other people. Still these people know what they are doing and why they are doing it, even if they won’t admit it.
If ever you have come across someone who is lost (in your eyes), don’t be fooled. Years later you might discover that these same wanderers become really successful people in society.
Of course, there are those who wander and really have no direction at all and for those we pray. J They simply wander because they don’t want to do anything constructive with their lives. That however is also a choice, I believe.
I do however think that it takes great skill to be a professional wanderer with a goal in mind. It is an art that needs to be perfected. Society frowns upon those who have no direction in their lives, but society doesn’t take the time to understand them. Then again, society is stupid and doesn’t understand a lot of things. J Society throws many judgements around that ‘it’ actually knows nothing about, well majority of the time anyway.
Exactly, society forces people to conform, makes assholes out of us. My Blog post "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" is definitely on the same wave length as yours...but took it at a diff angle because Prof. Bayla's words came rushing through me when I saw this topic. Have a read. Your second Paragraph is very true, since many famous people today (like Richard Branson) have been judged and told they would never amount to anything. But look. He's contributed greatly to society.
ReplyDeleteI hate hate hate that our actions are judged by society. I mean who are they? A big up to those who wander with direction.
ReplyDeleteExcellent blog about choice and goal setting.
